FAQs
(Frequently Asked Questions)
What is the purpose of this platform?
A two-sided network connecting certified instrument repair technicians and product specialists with the businesses, schools, and communities that need them. Employers post work. Musicians train and certify through WMA. We match them.
Are there any fees for employers to post a need?
No. The platform does not charge match fees, listing fees, or any take on repair transactions.
What types of roles can be posted?
Employers can post needs for repair technicians, product specialists, and contract or seasonal help. Clarinet, flute, and saxophone lead the network, and other instrument families, including brass, strings, and percussion, remain available.
How do musicians secure work through the network?
Musicians express interest in certification, and once certified through WMA, they are placed into roles through the commission network.
Can employers contact musicians directly?
Employer hiring is brokered through WMA — the job board does not expose direct contact or a direct-hire path, which protects the certified network. Separately, certified technicians may choose to appear on our public repair roster, where families and schools reach them through a routed contact form.
