ONLINE PRIVACY POLICY AGREEMENT

Lisa Canning LLC, doing business as Lisa's Clarinet Shop and as Working Musicians Academy, is committed to keeping any and all personal information collected from individuals who visit our website, enroll in our courses, and make use of our online facilities and services accurate, confidential, secure and private. Our privacy policy has been designed and created to ensure those affiliated with Lisa Canning LLC of our commitment and realization of our obligation not only to meet but to exceed most existing privacy standards.

THEREFORE, this Privacy Policy Agreement shall apply to Lisa Canning LLC, and thus it shall govern any and all data collection and usage thereof. Through the use of www.workingmusiciansacademy.com you are herein consenting to the following data procedures expressed within this agreement.

  • Your mobile telephone number, where you provide it to us and opt in to receive text messages, together with a record of that consent.

Please rest assured that this site shall only collect personal information that you knowingly and willingly provide by way of surveys, completed enrollment and membership forms, and emails, together with the automatically collected information described above and in the Cookies section below.   • contact you with regard to completing surveys and/or research questionnaires related to your opinion of current or potential future services that may be offered.

Lisa Canning LLC does not now, nor will it in the future, sell, rent or lease any of our customer or student lists and/or names to any third parties. No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. All of the above categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.

SMS TEXT MESSAGING AND MOBILE INFORMATION

How we collect your mobile number. We collect your mobile telephone number only when you provide it to us — at checkout, on a signup or enrollment form, or when you text us directly.

Opting in. You opt in by giving us your mobile number and agreeing to receive text messages at enrollment, at checkout, or by texting us directly. Opting in is entirely voluntary, and consent to receive marketing text messages is not a condition of enrollment in any course.

What we send. Enrollment confirmations, payment plan reminders, course start dates, live session reminders and access details, schedule and instructor changes, assignment deadlines and feedback notifications, course kit shipping updates, replies to questions you have sent us, and announcements of upcoming courses and enrollment windows.

Message frequency. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply, according to your mobile plan. We do not charge for the messages themselves.

Age restriction. You must be at least eighteen (18) years of age to opt in to our SMS program.

Opting out. Reply STOP to any message from us to opt out. You may cancel at any time. After you send STOP, we will send one confirmation message and will not send further messages unless you opt in again. Mobile information sharing. No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. No mobile information is sold, rented or leased to anyone. Where we use a text messaging provider to deliver messages on our behalf, that provider may process your number solely to send the messages we ask it to send, and may not use it for its own purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent are excluded from every category of information sharing described elsewhere in this policy, and will not be shared with any third parties.

Retention. We retain your mobile number and a record of your consent for as long as you remain opted in, and afterward for as long as needed to honor your opt-out and to demonstrate compliance with applicable law.

SERVICE PROVIDERS

In order to operate our courses and our website, we share limited personal information with trusted third-party service providers who perform services on our behalf. These may include our website host, our course and community platform, our payment processor, our email and text messaging providers, our video hosting provider, and our shipping partners.

These providers receive only the information necessary to perform their function, and they are not permitted to use it for their own marketing purposes. Their handling of your information is governed by their own privacy policies, which we encourage you to review.

MINOR STUDENTS

Certain of our programs may be of interest to students under the age of eighteen (18), including students enrolled through a school, band program or educational institution.

Where a student under the age of eighteen (18) enrolls in a course, we require that a parent, legal guardian, or authorized school representative complete the enrollment and provide consent. We collect only the information necessary to deliver instruction and maintain enrollment and completion records, and we do not use a minor student's information to market additional products or services directly to that student.

A parent, legal guardian, or authorized school official may contact us at info@workingmusiciansacademy.com to review, correct, or request deletion of a minor student's information, subject to any records we are required to retain.

UNSUBSCRIBE OR OPT-OUT

All users and/or visitors to our website have the option to discontinue receiving communication from us and/or reserve the right to discontinue receiving communications by way of email or newsletters. To discontinue or unsubscribe, please simply opt out at the bottom of any email. It may take up to twenty-four (24) hours to remove you from our list. If you continue to receive unwanted mailings, send an email stating that you wish to unsubscribe to info@workingmusiciansacademy.com.

Please note that if you are actively enrolled in a course, we will continue to send you transactional messages relating to your enrollment, such as schedules, materials lists and access instructions, even if you have opted out of marketing messages.

You have the right to opt out of SMS messaging campaigns at any time by replying STOP to any received message. YOUR PRIVACY RIGHTS

We do not sell personal information. Our website does contain links to other websites, including our course platform and third-party tool and supply vendors. (Links to Lisa's Clarinet Shop and SeriO are not third-party links; those brands are operated by Lisa Canning LLC and are covered by this policy.) Lisa Canning LLC does not claim nor accept responsibility for any privacy policies, practices and/or procedures of other such websites. Therefore, we encourage all users and visitors to be aware when they leave our website and to read the privacy statements of each and every website that collects personally identifiable information. The aforementioned Privacy Policy Agreement applies only and solely to the information collected by our website.

SECURITY

Lisa Canning LLC shall endeavor and shall take every precaution to maintain adequate physical, procedural and technical security with respect to our offices and information storage facilities so as to prevent any loss, misuse, unauthorized access, disclosure or modification of the user's personal information under our control.

We also use Secure Sockets Layer (SSL/TLS) encryption for authentication and private communications in an effort to provide simple and secure access and communication of payment and personal information. Payment card information is processed by our payment processor and is not stored on our servers.
